Feeling festive!

Currently wrapping Christmas presents and watching the Grinch! How perfect! This is my all time favourite movie, I'm that annoying person that knows all the lines... good job I'm on my own!

Tomorrow I'm off from work, I'm set on finishing my Christmas illustration, which I have decided to not do digitally, I need more practice!

I have a few ideas for this blog for next year, I've been really sloppy this year but have a feeling 2013 is going to be a great year!

Hope you guys are having a lovely festive holiday!

Ellie Goulding and Bristol

Last weekend I went to Bristol to see Ellie Goulding (again!) She was so amazing! Bristol is so beautiful and I want to live there!
I took photos on my disposable camera which is currently being processed so you'll have to wait and see! The photo above pretty much sums up my time in Bristol!
The signed Polaroid from Ellie, my ticket, bottle cap of amazing Jelly Belly drinks! and Harry Potter jelly beans! Good music, good friends equals good times!

I'm currently working on Christmas digital artwork which you guys can see soon

I just enjoy the whole process of cooking and baking, it's great! This is such a great recipie if you don't know what to do with the remains from your pumpkin carving (:

Regal Rose: Silver Snake Wrap earring!

I don't know if to call this a review or not? It's just something that I bought and really wanted to show you guys! Just because I think it's really awesome!
It's this Snake Wrap earring by Regal Rose;

So here it is! I've been wanting this for around 2 months now and just never had the courage to buy it, I'm not sure why, but I'm so glad that I did.

The earring is very comfortable in your ear, it's a normal straight post for pierced ears, so it's not a stretched ear hole, the snake goes up and around the ear. At first, I was worried that it would keep falling because I have small ears but it was fine! It was comfortable and never fell once, it took some time getting used to but then I just forgot it was there!
It was £15 on the site, the delivery was super fast and overall I'm just so happy about the product and the company, I sent them an email saying how happy I was and they replied straight away. Great customer service, great product and an amazing site! You guys need to check it out they have some awesome accessories over there!

Right now they have a sale! woo!

Review: Katy Perry lashes in Oh, Honey!

I'm going to start off by saying, I am the worst person at applying fake eyelashes! I have super sensitive eyes, specially in the inner corner, even liquid eyeliner touching it will make them
water the whole night!
But when it comes to Katy Perry and her face on anything, 9 time out of 10 I'm going to buy it!

I think the Katy Perry range by Eylure came out around the start of the year, every time I entered a drugstore I would go look at them, I just could never decide over Sweetie Pie or Oh, Honey! But finally last week I went with these;

When it comes to eyelashes I always go for the most natural looking ones. I already have naturally long eyelashes it's just something a little extra I'm looking for. I took these photos before I cut the eyelashes, because of my sensitive eyes I cut them small to apply them to the outer corner of my eyes.
The packaging is really pretty, yet on each different product her eyelashes don't change, which is abit weird! You can see the eyelashes clearly in the case, so you know what you're purchasing and on the back 'Katy' gives her top tips on how to apply, just the usual really but I guess it gives that personal touch, which is sweet.

So, here's what you get inside! Eyelashes, telling you which one is left and which is right. Which I really liked, I've never seen that before in packs of eyelashes. You get a small tube of the eyelash glue. A more detailed instruction leaflet and a cute sticker saying 'Oh, Honey!' I guess you get these in the other ones too.

The eyelashes felt very fragile so I was extra careful with them, applying the glue was easy, it's a wand applicator which I really like, I hate the little squeezy ones you usually get, I felt like I could apply it evenly on the lashes. I waited for 30 seconds, like it says, and then applied, pushing them down with cotton wool buds. I didn't have to do this very long as they were pretty much stuck straight away. I was highly impressed! I was able to apply liquid eyeliner over them, as the lash line is very thin, and also run mascara through them!

I wore these out on Friday night, I went to see Oliver in theatre and was abit nervous incase my eyes would start running and strain watching the show as fake eyelashes can be heavy, but I seriously have no complaints with these lashes. They are so lightweight and I completly forgot that I had them on! They just felt and looked so natural and they're reusable. I wore them again the night after while going out for some drinks with friends.

(sorry for the sideways photo but you can see the lashes best this way. Also, I've dyed my hair yeeeah)

I highly recommend Oh, Honey! lashes to people who are rubbish at apply lashes, who have sensitive eyes, like the natural look and like me, doesn't have alot of money to spend on luxuries as these were priced £5.95 at Boots! Plus they're reusable! Absolute bargain!

Review: Models Own Purple Blue Beetle Juice

I wear nail polish every single day of my life, I think I have done since I was 9! I do not feel like myself without nail polish on, it's the weirdest experience if I go a day with no nail polish on!
My go to colour; black. Always. I have millions of nail polishes but always wear black, well I wanted a change! A few months back I saw a little counter of nail polishes, Models Own. I heard about the duo nail polishes and read some reviews online and decided to get one for myself. The first one I did get was Aqua Violet Beetle Juice, I wasn't that impressed... so...

The one I'm reviewing today; Purple Blue Beetle Juice.

I LOVE this nail polish! It is SO pretty!

At first I applied the a coat and it looked brown, and I thought "urgh another £5 wasted" I carried on with a second coat and finally a third and just fell in love, I couldn't stop staring at it!

It looks exactly how it is in the bottle, it's not misleading. It's a mix of blue/purple/pink with a hint (not too much) of glitter, it's just so perfect!
It caught my eye because it is the newest product but also because it reminds me of like, a galaxy... is that silly? It's just reminds me of space and how pretty it can look! I'm really, really impressed with this colour

Another thing, with all of Models Own polishes, they last a LONG time. My nails chip all the time, and as you can see I cut my nails (I don't like them long) so this is really satisfying and worth your money!

I really recommend this product, it is so beautiful and something a little different to black, I guess! (:

What Models Own polishes do you own? Should I invest into anymore colours? xo

Review: Revlon Pink Pout and Rimmel Rossetto

I love lipstick, just as much as the next girl but being pale, I do find looking for colours to suit the skin hard, let alone finding lipsticks that last.
Shopping in drugstores can be quite overwhelming with the amount of lipsticks they stock and swatching on your hand isn't always the true colour that comes out on your lips.
I find the whole experience super hard but fun at the same time, walking out the store with the weirdest coloured hands! How attractive!

I feel being pale it is hard to find a neutral lipstick shade with out looking like you've just slapped concealer on your lips and looking like a vampire. Well, I've found a great shade that suits my skin colour perfectly and I love it so much!

It is Pink Pout (002) by Revlon and it's so pretty! It is a matte lipstick which I love, I'm not too crazy over glossy lipsticks. I feel this colour is perfect for pale skin as it's a neutral pink shade rather than a beige neutral so it adds a bit of colour to your face, this is so perfect with a light dusk of pink blusher, such a super sweet look (:
Despite being matte it is moisturising and it does last, I feel you have to apply it a few times through out the day, but that's normal and it does come off when eating! (cute) The price of this lipstick was £7.49 (at Boots UK) a bit pricey but really worth it! Plus it's 3 for 2 on Revlon in Boots so I highly recommend you add this product into your chosen 3!

I can not knock this product at all, I think it's so wonderful and I've worn it everyday since I've bought it, it just goes with everything because it's so subtle and beautiful, I highly recommend buying this if you are pale and are buying lipstick for the first time (:

The second lipstick I picked up was Rossetto (04) by Rimmel in the Kate Moss collection. This colour is gorgeous! Dark colours do suit pale skin but not all (I find.) This colour is a really dark grape purple colour.
The application was quite tricky, because it's so dark I use a lip brush to line your mouth so you can achieve a sharp shape, I filled in the rest of my lips with the lip brush and it wasn't covering my lips enough, you could still see my skin through the colour, so I used the lipstick to block in my lips and it came out perfect.
It is a glossy lipstick but not over powering just a slight shine to highlight the purple shade. This lipstick is also very moisturising and does last with the odd re-application (:
Surprisingly this product was slightly cheaper, it was £5.49 (at Boots UK) I thought it would have been expensive considering it was a Kate Moss product! I defiantly recommend this lipstick also. The price is great, the colour is beautiful and it's just something different to wear on a night out (:

Two very constasting lipsticks I know but what's a girl to do?!

Do you have these lipsticks or dupes of these? Let me know!

Have a great week xo

Designing hoopla

Been very busy this easter designing for college, designing is possibly my weakest point, I find making a garment far easier, but, it has to be done! Part of me has enjoyed designing this time round, which is very nice indeedy!

As well as doing that I have been trying to sneak in a few illustrations when I want to take a break. My recent one (above) is of Allison Harvard (Creppy Chan)
I hope to sell my illustrations when college is over, I've been looking around at sites that print them for you and sell them but I want to find the best one, if you know any please comment below (:

Just to let you know, I do have hand-made ornaments up for sale on my etsy at the moment (:

Hopefully be more active on here when I start making garments and so on... xo

What I wore

It was my cousins birthday and last night our family and their friends went to a lovely restaurant and here is what I wore;

Black shirt - Matalan
Leather trousers - New Look
Shoes - Primark
Bow tie - Claire's

Big and small rings - Claire's
Elephant and leaf ring - Silver Store
Octopus ring - Etsy

I love this outfit, the shoes really shock me, I still can't believe they're from Primark. They're a dark green but the camera and lighting has made them look black!
I also got the trousers for £15 because the zip was broken and some seams weren't sewn, I put in a new zip and fixed the seams, bargain (:

Working

I realise I haven't been posting for a while (try more than a month!) It's not that I've been busy, well, I have been because of work and college, to be honest, I have been feeling so uninspired lately that it has gotten on top of me.
I'm trying to shake off this funk and get back into drawing, so here's what I did recently:

I drew this on a train and finished it off at my partner's house, I used pencil, colour pencils and fine line.

I've created a few more illustrations which I hope to get printed soon!

I began drawing this piece months ago, the detail of the photo is immense and I know it's going to take me forever to draw, I'm currently working on it now to get it finished soon.

I'm really sorry for my absence and I really hope to get back into the swing of blogging again!

Thank you so much for you continuous support, I really appreciate messages I receive, they make me so happy and inspire me to keep going xo

You can follow me on tumblr if you wish (:
