I've recently taken up reading, well, in the past year I have and I've really enjoyed the experience, so far...
My latest read was The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. And wow! What a fantastic read. I can't quite describe it but I'm going to give it a go. It's kind of simplistic yet very clever writing. The story is in a series of letters, at first I found it quite difficult to follow, because of the structure, but once I let go and just kept reading it was just incredible! It's a wonderful story about coming of age, I read part of the book before the film, the film came out around my birthday so I did go to see it, the film was directed and written by the author, the film didn't reuin the book for me, if anything it made me want to finish the book, and I'm glad I did. I cried and laughed through out the book, it is a very enjoyable read and I would recommend this to anybody who is having personal struggles (or not).

Feeling festive!
Currently wrapping Christmas presents and watching the Grinch! How perfect! This is my all time favourite movie, I'm that annoying person that knows all the lines... good job I'm on my own!
Tomorrow I'm off from work, I'm set on finishing my Christmas illustration, which I have decided to not do digitally, I need more practice!
I have a few ideas for this blog for next year, I've been really sloppy this year but have a feeling 2013 is going to be a great year!
Hope you guys are having a lovely festive holiday!

Little post.
It's been a month since my last post, I'm so sorry. My laptop charger has broken, it started sparking, very scary! Hopefully I'll get a new one soon but for the mean time I'll have to post when I can.
My best friend has left for Swansea, Wales to start university. We had a last night together, making tacos, listening to music and scrapbooking. It was alot of fun (:

I'm really going to miss her but I know she's going to do so well (:
Lately I've been working on college work and still constantly designing in my little book to make products.
I feel a bit rusty on this as I haven't blogged in a month. I hope you guys can forgive me!
Have any of you started a new course in college or university this September?
Hope you're all having a wonderful day (:
P.S I'm now on the 5th Harry Potter book!

Sorry for the lack on posting this week, I've been so stressed and finding it hard to find time!
I'm posting quickly to say that I've reached my limit on Flickr (I didn't even know that there was a limit!) so I'm carrying on posting 365 to my tumblr instead (:
I'm really enjoying posting 365 and hope I complete it!
Oh and on thursday, I finally went to see my nan's new 8 week old, pedigree kitten!
Isn't she the cutest thing?! Her name is Milly and I love rubbing her tummy ^.^
Anyway, I don't want this post to be completely useless so here are some good reads;
Kiddo lunch by Bleubird
Mushrooms! by The Dainty Squid
Mini Zine tutorial by a beautiful mess
Shop update by the girl and boy
Hope you're all having a good weekend (: xo

3.

Here (:
Yesterday was my friend's birthday! We had pizza and watched movies and ate home made birthday cake! It was sooo yummy!
I need to show you guys my dress for the summer fashion show! It's just the tester though, we make it out of cheap fabric first, then fit it to the model, then alter it on the final fabric. It's hard work but when I saw it fitted on her, I was so excited and couldn't believe I made it! It's called The Bone Dress... oooo! I'll take a photo next week.
Also next week, I'll be getting the professional photos back from our photo shoot today. We had photographs taken of our Chinese Festival dresses on the dancers and photos with them. It was a long day today but I came home to my Bon Iver albums in the post! I had a few of their songs for ages on iTunes but I am a sucker for the physical thing. I love owning CD's.
Tomorrow I'm meeting up with friends for Nando's, an old, old friend for coffee and a long catch up and seeing my friends new home! So exciting (:
Any personal projects lately from you? xo

Harley's first birthday!

Happy birthday to my gorgeous little sweetheart of a nephew!
I can not believe he is one! It doesn't feel too long ago that I was going to the hospital to hold him! He was so fragile and delicate that I was so scared to even touch him!
Now, he loves to crawl everywhere, pull my hair, eat every food he sees and stare at me. He's done that ever since he was very small, he would just stare at me and won't move!
For new followers, if you haven't guessed already, this is my nephew, Harley. I've spoken about him before and I make him a few things out of love (:

This is in the morning, being very spoilt!

He went to the zoo for his first birthday! How many people can say that? Lucky kid!
I love this photo, it's like his trying to touch the big kitty cat.

This is my mum and I giving him his presents at the restaurant, I think he just wanted to show everyone that he can walk now haha

We took him out in his first set of wheels ;)
and this is what I made him for his birthday, superhero finger puppets!
I am currently making Spider-man and Wonder Woman ones for him too.
I would have got better photos of these but as soon as I started playing with him he decided to take them off my finger and eat them (:
ah what a cutie!
For the first time in ages it's raining here in England, think it's karma telling me to do my work!
Happy first of May! x

what's in my bag...

was inspired to do this again by the little birds blog...
I recently bought a new bag by Element, I love it! I love the pattern and the colours are so gogeous and summery (:
in my bag i have;
my cupcake planner
mobile phone
sun glasses
pencils and fine line pen
my purse (also new purchase by Billabong)

haven't posted since when?!

These photos make me look like I have blonde hair, but I promise it's still pink! Just extremely faded!
I'm really sorry for my lack of posting! I do have reasons.
Being on a course takes up most of my time, it even eats into my free time. I'm not complaining, as the last project we had has been my favourite. It's been the most inspirational and eye opening. I will post more about that project tomorrow.
Another reason is the most amazing opportunity was thrown my way a week ago and I would have been so stupid to say no! I was picked, along with 3 others, to have complete freedom in designing and making dance costumes for an upcoming Chinese Festival show that's happening here in Plymouth! and I'm getting paid. So, can you blame me for saying yes?! I only have 3 weeks to do this in so I'm going to be highly busy working on that including making my other dress for a fashion show. Which I still need to show you my design, it's such a complicated pattern but I love a challenge, it encourages you to learn (:
I will keep you updated on the Chinese Festival project, fabrics, designs, the fun meetings we've been having, the lot!
Also busy on designing fun plush toys for my shop, which shall be running, hopefully by the end of Easter... phew!
Please forgive me for lack of posting! I am growing more and more attached to this blog and I enjoy replying to your lovely comments.
Have a wonderful day, hopefully more tomorrow! xo
P.S Just to let you know, I made an 'about' page here! Go check it out to know a little bit more about me. There's also links to my twitter account, deviant account, tumblr and flickr (which I shall use alot more soon)

(:

I can't believe it's been 11 years since I got her for Christmas!
I was always obsessed with cats, since I was very young. I used to love drawing them on everything. I always wanted one but my Dad was never good with animals. When I was 7 my parents finally gave in. In the begining of December 1999 my Mum took me to a house where the woman was giving cute kitties away. There was one left.

A small, cute, black and white, yellow eyed beauty.
I sat on a one seat chair, nervous, as I'd never held a real life kitten in my small life.
She sniffed around my feet and jumped up onto the arm of the chair and started crying at me.
I think at that moment, my heart melted.
I picked her up and cradled her into my arms where she lightly purred and closed her eyes.

We took her home and I couldn't stop playing with her. Expecially as it was around Christmas time, she loved playing with the decorations!
Her sleeping place was next to the front room door.

She knows me very well and has for years. She knows when I'm sad and curls up next to me to keep me happy.
She knows my happiness.
and she's always been there when I'm painting, watching me.
I love it when I find her in silly places.
I love coming home to her and seeing her cute face.
I love it when she twitches her paws.
and I love finding her asleep on her back with her big Thumper feet in the air.
xo

4 Simple Goals

This is such a positive idea that everyone can do! Elsie Flannigan set this up that many people are doing, check out the post here! (banner is from her blog)
I'm late blogging this but I have been doing some for the time being.
1. only use straighteners on my hair once a week. I love my hair but it's so thin at the moment and I think it's due to having no money so I can't
buy organic hair moisteriser and by the amount of times I straighten it in a week! I've done this before for about 2 months a noticed a difference in my hair. It felt good!
2. drink at least 3 glasses of water a day. I do not like water that much but I know it's good for you! It's annoying. but I drink way too much caffine, I can through about 2-4 liters a day of the stuff which is not good!
3. get a tattoo in october. since I was about 14 I've been obsessed with tattoos. I've always wanted a tattoo that was meaningful and loosing my uncle 2 years ago was one of the most painful but mind opening things to happen in my life. I won't go into detail until I get the tattoo but I've been designing it for a while!
4. take 1 photo everyday. I love photographs and feel I never take enough. Even if it's the most boring thing in the world, I'm going to take one photo everyday and post it...
I think this is such a brilliant idea and it's great to be shared even though it's so personal too!
Be sure to check out Elsie's blog for more inspiring, wonderful ideas!
back soon xo

to the sea!
hello!
Sorry i've been away for along time but I have been very busy. This includes completing the Midnight Walk for St. Lukes Hospice!

I didn't actually realise it was half a marathon and probably would have trained if I did know! but it was in remembrance of my dear uncle who we lost to cancer in 2008 and I thought of him the whole way.
I completed it with my best friend Sam and I couldn't be happier! It was an incredible experience and hope to do it again sometime. We survived on caffeine, water and laughs! Over 2000 women participated and raised so much more than last year already. The night before consisted of more laughs as we saw Jimmy Carr. He commented on my white dress saying it was a nighty. Thanks man. ha!
Right now i'm concentrating on a small, yet cute, project for my nephew! I saw him two days in a row last week, eee!
My brother's girlfriend (Harley's mummy) really wanted me to paint canvases for his little room. We decided on a sailer theme. I drew up some designs and I let her pick out what she wanted and so on. I'm so excited and almost finished! I'll post the final pieces and when they're hung up (:

I finally bought a cute japanese oil burner and lilac oil. I have many joss sticks and a holder but i've always wanted my room to smell like those shops, and it finially does, hooray!
and finally CATS! Just because! My friend just sent me the cutest picture of her cat, Pepsi! Adorable (:
and here's my pretty kitty! (:
P.S I recomend seeing Toy Story 3 xo

i took this photo at random today and enjoyed editing it.
this week has been manic! we're currently re-decorating the house and have thrown out alot! around 35 bin bags of our life. in some ways it's sad but i guess you can't hold onto them forever.
so the small room is cleared and i can't wait to start decorating it. my bedroom is yellow with blue boarder. i'm thinking to paint the room a sky blue... or maybe turquoise, what do you guys think?
i'm getting very excited! i would love your feedback!
tomorrow insist of me paying the guys that are laying the carpet, admiring thier awesome work then, going into town to buy a sewing machine.
oh and i saw my beautiful nephew yesterday, he's grown so much!
i'm so in love.
i hope you all have a great week! xo
